Thirty-foot bombs off the dribble. Running scoop layups off the wrong leg. Watching Stephen Curry play basketball right now just doesn’t seem real. His team is 25-1. He’s leading the NBA in scoring. And he’s doing it however he wants, whenever he wants. Oh, it’s Dell Curry night in Charlotte? Let me drop 28 points in the third quarter to steal my daddy’s shine. Oh, the Clippers want to talk smack about us being lucky last year? Let me spot them 23 points and foul trouble, and then go for 40 and a W just so I can drive the knife a little deeper. It feels like Curry is toying with the basketball world. He has us all in the palm of his right hand.
Coming along for the ride is his latest signature sneaker, the Under Armour Curry Two. Between the “Iron Sharpens Iron” launch colorway, to the “Professional” and “Father to Son” editions, the sneaker is shooting a higher percentage than the player right now. A beast on the court, it’s beginning to earn street cred, showing up more often than ever before on Instagram.
In time for the holidays comes another new release. The Christmas edition of the shoe (“Northern Lights”) will be available tomorrow at Champs Sports, sporting, as always, Charged Cushioning and SpeedForm running technology, the first time it’s ever been used in a basketball shoe.
Stephen Curry has gone to another level on the court and his sneakers are following along. He’s a flamethrower on and off the floor. The “Northern Lights” Under Armour Curry Two release that’s coming for the holidays proves that again.
