Last year, Stephen Curry saved one of his best performances of the year for his “BHM” colorway of the Under Armour Curry One. Wearing the grey and black beauties, Curry popped off on the Dallas Mavericks for 51 points to lead a big comeback win, setting off the national TV broadcast to new heights and causing sportscaster Mark Jones to describe Curry as “working that three-point line like a part-time job right now.”
The colorway was a hit and just as they’ve done with several other Curry colorways from the first signature, Under Armour is bringing it back again.
Available Saturday at Champs Sports will be this year’s version of the “BHM” colorway for the Under Armour Curry Two. Featuring the SpeedForm upper brought over from UA’s running products, as well as a full-length Charged Cushioning midsole, the shoe performs as well as it looks. Every year, athletes in the NBA with signature products get laced with special edition colorways to celebrate Black History Month. Curry and UA, for perhaps the first time, own one of the most hyped sneakers among that crew. And as long as Curry stays healthy, we should see it on the court a lot this year.
Wearing a pair of Currys will never give you the ball-handing and skill that he has, but it’s at least a start in the right direction if you’re looking to upgrade your rotation. Stephen Curry always has Under Armour design him something dope to celebrate Black History Month. Well, as we said, this Under Armour Curry Two has done it again.
