Finally Releasing: Under Armour Curry One Low “Friends and Family/MVP”

Virtually every night, Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors do something spectacular. They aren’t just winning. They aren’t just dominating. They’re entertaining, and doing it at a level we haven’t seen in a long time.

Curry, at just 27 years old, already owns a few titles he won’t be relinquishing anytime soon. Yes, we all realize he HAS to be considered the best shooter ever. But you can argue he’s also the most exciting player ever. He doesn’t do it with dunks or incredible displays of brute athleticism. He does it with skill, with slick ball-handling, deft passing, and rainbows from deep.

Everything he does on the court played a part in making the Curry line from Under Armour the fastest rising basketball product on the market, and the Curry Two picked up where the first shoe left off.

Still, we’re not quite done with the Curry One. Earlier this year, to celebrate Curry’s rapid rise and MVP season, UA made these a “Friends and Family” release; it was rumored they’d never actually release to the public. Thank the basketball gods someone was wrong.

Coming on New Year’s Day, the “Friends and Family/MVP” Curry One Low is one of the cleanest basketball shoes of the past 12 months and might be Curry’s best sneaker, period. Dropping at Champs Sports, this one sports all-white on the upper and midsole with gold accents on the branding, laces, shank, and outsole. Expect to see many a sneakerhead sporting this edition on Instagram. (Though it’s meant for the court, the crossover appeal is evident.)

This white and gold Under Armour Curry One was never supposed to release. But with how well the shoe is still selling and with Curry on his way to another unreal year, we’re getting something special.
