Did anyone seriously think the Warriors weren’t going to re-sign Draymond Green to a big deal this summer? I remember hearing the two sides had reportedly stopped talking early on in the process. They were at a stalemate, Green obviously pushing for more dough considering the crazy money that some cats were getting on the free agent market.
It took all of a few hours for the two sides to hash out their differences.
Now that Green is back in The Bay as we all expected him to be, Golden State can start thinking about defending their title. Because of LaMarcus Aldridge joining the Spurs and OKC regaining the health of their two studs, it’s going to be a more difficult road than the first one. Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson both must take the next step. Andrew Bogut must remain healthy. And Green needs to stay hungry, despite the new deal.
However, in the end, it all comes down to the MVP, Stephen Curry. This is his ship.
Curry had a remarkable season. It was just about perfect. And the highlights are spilling over into his sneakers where the Under Armour Curry One became a smash hit. Since it’s the summer, naturally, we’re getting some low-top versions, including the one dropping at Champs Sports that features a special NBA Finals colorway. Featuring technology such as Anafoam, Charged Foam, a Herringbone traction pattern, and a TPU heel counter, the shoe not only talks the talk but backs it up too. Just like the player.
After seeing the success of the first two low-top colorways, don’t sleep on these. They’ll be gone before you know it.
