    Nike Kobe 11 "Achilles Heel"

Now, it’ll likely be the final sneaker the legend ever plays in before he retires and is a must-cop for any KB fan out there.

    Under Armour Curry Two "BHM"

    Release Date: January 19

Last year’s “BHM” release for Curry honored technology made famous by early African-American pioneers. Overall, it was considered one of UA’s best silhouettes of the season. This year’s edition is no different and though we’re getting new Currys almost every other week, these are a must-cop.

So 2016 is finally here. With it will come new trends, new sneakers, and memorable moments, from that first new adidas sneaker Kanye rocks at the next awards show to what colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 Kobe Bryant sports in his final game in the NBA. Whereas 2015 saw the rise of the dad cap, distressed denim going mainstream, and even the explosion of pins, 2016 will have you airing out your current wardrobe for something else entirely.

At this point, style enthusiasts everywhere are finding ways to rock sneakers in increasingly formal situations. That’s part of the reason why white sneakers are making a comeback. It’s also why athleisure, simplistic silhouettes have never been more popular.

Hearing all of that makes this month’s edition of The Prequel rather ironic. From brand new colorways for classic Jordan models to Kobe Bryant’s latest sneaker to one of the best Nike LeBron 13 colorways yet, many of January’s best sneaker releases include loud tones on visually striking silhouettes.

Perhaps the most interesting dynamic is the performance of the Under Armour Curry Two. This is a sneaker attempting to follow up one of the best first signature sneakers in some time, and not only is the sequel making waves, it’s become maybe the most important sneaker of this season in the NBA. This month, we’re selling multiple Curry sneakers as highlights.

From new Air Jordan retro releases to Kobe Bryant’s latest signature sneaker, January is filled with shoe heat. These are the 7 January Sneaker Release Dates You Can’t Miss.
