The Drop Video Series, Episode 5: Starring Kris Bryant

It takes more than talent. Takes more than skill. Takes more than confidence, team success, and training. Takes more than luck, too. Becoming the hottest rising prospect in the world takes all of that. Kris Bryant should know. Many consider him the top young player in baseball, just a rookie with the Chicago Cubs and yet already in the All-Star Game. Right now, he’s on pace for 27 home runs and 103 runs batted in as the club battles for a spot in the postseason. The 23-year-old third baseman is a 6-5 beast that can make plays all over the field.

Along the way, Bryant overcame a lot. Haters. Injuries. Doubts. The odds. During a recent “Fire and Ice” video campaign with Champs Sports and adidas Originals, Bryant literally beat down those doubts, and he did it all while wearing the adidas ZX Flux.

This sneaker is a favorite of Bryant’s. Earlier this year, he even designed his own pair using the iconic ivy from Wrigley Field. When he isn’t on Instagram cracking jokes with his teammates, the dude is constantly showing out in a fresh pair. It certainly helps that the adidas ZX Flux is releasing in just about every colorway and design imaginable, while sporting a mesh one-piece upper that goes with anything. It also helps that it’s a direct descendant of the classic ZX 8000 family.

A couple of the latest colorways are releasing now at Champs Sports and in Episode 5 of The Drop video series, where we’re always talking style, we got up with Bryant to talk about his own personal swagger off the diamond.

This monthly series is only heating up. So far, we’ve featured everyone from NBA lottery picks to old school NFL legends. You can find all the episodes on the official Champs Sports YouTube page, and trust us, you’ll want to follow along. If that ain’t enough for you, work that #MyGameMondays hashtag on IG with some of your best sneaker photos and perhaps you’ll be featured in the next episode.

Until then, kick back and forget the haters with Kris Bryant.
