The Under Armour Fire Shot and SpeedForm Slingshot are two new sneaker silhouettes to keep an eye on this spring.
In the latest episode of The Drop video series, we hit up The ARMOURY at Champs Sports at the mall in Columbia, Maryland, to get an exclusive look at the shoes just as they were hitting the public.
With both the Fire Shot and the SpeedForm Slingshot available right now at Champs Sports in multiple colorways, this should be a good season for Under Armour fans. The Fire Shot features a lightweight mesh upper along with CompFit support and Micro G cushioning, and it’s the answer to everyone’s question of whether UA is more than just Stephen Curry‘s sneaker. Expect this shoe to be a great ride for any basketball player this season.
As was noted, Under Armour isn’t always all about Stephen Curry. The NBA’s reigning MVP is about to win the first unanimous MVP in NBA history and his sneaker is selling as quickly as anyone else’s in the game, but the folks at UA don’t view themselves as a one-trick pony. This spring, they’re releasing both the aforementioned Fire Shot and the SpeedForm Slingshot, a training shoe that features a one-piece knit upper, the first time UA has ever utilized that. The shoe also features a cool spring-back system designed to keep runners comfortable and energized.
In this episode, we also connected with longtime stud NFL wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. of the Baltimore Ravens. He told us how he is dying to get back on the field and how the summer has been all about the hard work as he is returning from last season’s Achilles injury. Even as the oldest receiver in the league, Smith is still one of the toughest competitors and hardest workers.
