Outside of the obvious–sneaker release dates!–March is always a fun month for sneaker collectors. For many, it’s the opportunity to finally shelve the beaters we wore throughout the winter and break out our best white sneakers.
All-black fits might be the weapon of choice for many style enthusiasts at the moment, but finessing in white often earns extra points. And in the latest episode of The Drop video series, we highlighted a number of different “whiteout” options for you this spring.
At the Kings Plaza mall in Brooklyn, New York, we connected with famed sneaker YouTuber @Bull1trc for a look into some current white shoes from Nike, adidas, Jordan Brand, PUMA, and Converse. Our guest host for the episode, @Bull1trc showcased some of the differences between modern sneakers like the Nike Free Hypervenom 2, and old school classics that still resonate with the new generation like Nike’s Air Force 1 and Converse’s Chuck Taylor (which has been updated through the brand’s new “White Out” Pack).

It helps that many of these sneakers are classic silhouettes. Wearing white often comes down to following some simple advice: keep it restricted to classic silhouettes, yes, but also be aware of the forecast and check social media to see how your favorite influencer is holding it down. As @bull1trc says, pulling off a crisp white look can work at any point in the year. But there’s never a better opportunity than right now, when summer still hasn’t hit yet. White Uptowns, white Converse classics, white Air Maxes…these are all cornerstones for any collection and are an important change of pace for those putting in work on social media.
With March here, watch Episode 16 above for more on some of the best white sneakers currently available at Champs Sports.
