Jacksonville’s Allen Robinson disrupted more than a few fantasy football leagues this season. Did anyone expect him to erupt for 80 catches, 1,400 yards, and 14 touchdowns for the 5-11 Jaguars? Doubt it. Those numbers put him in rare air, too. Not only did he make the Pro Bowl in just his second year in the NFL, he’s also the youngest player in NFL history–22 years old–to put up those numbers. Like his predecessors in Jacksonville, Keenan McCardell and Jimmy Smith, Robinson is a playmaker capable of pulling off just about any route on the field. But where he stands out is his size. At 6-3 and 215 pounds, the former Penn State star is a red zone playmaker.
That size actually helped him excel as a basketball player in high school, which is where Robinson first fell in love with sneakers and style.
In the latest episode of The Drop from Champs Sports, hosted by special guest Jacques Slade, we caught up with Robinson in the weeks following the regular season to get his take on his personal style, favorite sneakers of the year, answering the doubters, and why the NFL’s style aficionados always get overlooked by the masses.
In addition, we’re also previewing some Super Bowl 50 gear from Nike. Our favorites that are releasing at Champs Sports include the Field General 2 and the Free Trainer 3.0 V4 for those of you looking to step up your game this year, as well as the new Ultra XT, an off-field trainer that’ll keep you fresh once you hit the streets.
