Durant is a big social media guru — he posts so often that even as I wrote this he was throwing up another photo. The guy is humble and down to Earth, and that comes through in his images. Whether it’s first looks at his new shoes, videos of his secret training, or shots of him snorkeling, KD is a must-follow for any sports fan.

You can’t call yourself a basketball fan and not be following the best ballplayer on the planet. That sounds like a cliche but the thing is is that ‘Bron knows what he’s doing on social media. The guy ‘gram’ed a photo of the World Cup streaker!

James also shows off some insane PEs from his signature line with Nike, and never hesitates to post a little something from his social life. By far one of the best cats doing it on Instagram.

San Francisco’s leader isn’t a king just yet on the football field, but on the ‘gram? There’s no quarterback who’s better.

Kaepernick mixes the fundamental training and football posts with lots and lots of style. As he showed at this year’s ESPYs, he knows how to pull off fly and unlike a lot of athletes, his photos aren’t all Jordans, snapbacks, and designer shirts.

Baltimore’s All-Star slugger doesn’t play around when it comes to food, and luckily for all of us, he loves Instagramming all of it. Jones passes the ‘gram eye test with the traditional images of vacation, game day cleats, and celebrity reunions, but his ability to make us drool over his food pictures puts him over the top.

Baked oatmeal. Fried chicken. Mashed Potatoes. Baltimore crabs. Get this man more followers.

The Drop is a big fan of Victorino’s swag. He’s the preeminent sneakerhead in baseball, and maybe even in sports in general. In that regard, his IG page doesn’t disappoint. He mixes up his sneaker choices, never goes over the top with ridiculous self-poses and selfies, and shows everyone with every shoe post that he’s a real part of this country’s sneaker culture.

The so-called king of the ‘gram, the broadie himself, Russ West lets his style run wild on IG. Even if you’re not a sports fan, even if you’re not a basketball fan, you have to follow him just to see what crazy outfit he’ll try next.

Here’s the thing with DeSean: he’s a pro at this. Seriously, 1,835 posts! That’s next-level status.

Jackson focuses on the things you’d expect — like his breeding pit bulls, tattoos, and big wheels — but because he does it so often, he gets extra points.

The Jordan signee has been wearing consistently awesome Jordan PEs for years on the diamond. He mirrors that on the ‘gram by showing off his on-field cleats, as well as his off-field stunting sneakers… doing a great job of making everyone jealous.

Rollins also posts a ton of food images, and he’s pretty good at it too. But what makes Philly’s longtime star stand out is quality. I’m not sure if Rollins has any actual background in taking pictures, or if he’s just taught himself, but the stuff he posts is always really, really good.

The Prince of the World Cup this summer, Mario Götze became a celebrity overnight. Literally. Before he scored the game-winning goal in the final, he was a Germany celebrity who was dating a model at barely 22 years old.

But now? Now, he’s a worldwide phenomenon who chills with Rihanna. His journey to superstardom is documented through his IG account. You probably don’t want to miss it.

You probably can’t read most of Neymar’s IG page but does it really matter when the guy is posting seemingly every other hour? His 2,000-plus posts is insane for anyone, let alone a world-wide famous athlete.

The soccer player might missed most of the World Cup, and Brazil might’ve gotten smoked by Germany, but Neymar is still one of the best players in the world. He also has way too much fun on the ‘gram.

Do it for the ‘gram.

I spend way too much time thinking about Instagram. I’ll think about it when I throw on some new sneakers. I’ll think about it when I’m eating. I’ll think about it on vacation. It never leaves me. It’s a 24/7 job. It also feels good to know I’m not alone. Athletes have taken to Instagram in much the same way as Twitter. It’s their chance to control their image and connect with fans, and depending on how tight-lipped they are with their personal life, you can get some good laughs out of it.

Today, just a day after breaking down the best follows among female athletes, we’re taking a stab at the guys. These 10 are must-follows for any Instagram user.
