There’s no more important sporting event throughout the calendar year than the Super Bowl. It’s the single biggest TV event of the year and if you’re a sports fan, it’s not even a question about whether you’re going to watch it. It’s just a question of how big your party is going to be.

March Madness is fun and exciting, but it stretches on for weeks and never truly overcomes the craziness that is the first weekend. The NBA Finals are a showcase of incredible talent but the NBA Playoffs can be a little predictable considering how long the series last. The Super Bowl? Anyone can win. Just ask the undefeated Patriots from Super Bowl XLII. Or either team from last night. (I still can’t believe that one.)

Champs Sports has a seemingly never-ending lineup of available jerseys but the biggest fans should know their history too. Every single uniform on this list of 10 Super Bowl Jerseys That Need to Be Retroed has super important historical implications — from the very first Super Bowl in 1967 featuring the Packers smoking Kansas City, 35-10, to recent history forays such as John Elway‘s dive against Green Bay and Kurt Warner‘s Cinderella season with St. Louis.

This year it was the Seahawks looking to defend their title against the rejuvenated Patriots. The highlights and memories were incredible, even if you weren’t a fan of either squad. But now that the season is over, make sure you’re laced once the summer starts. For now, all we can do is hope that some of these jerseys return once and for all.
