It’s still a little hard to admit, considering he was only a three-star recruit in high school and was literally a nobody until his sophomore year of college. But if we were to pick a favorite for the NBA MVP at this point, it would have to be Stephen Curry. No questions asked. He’s been the best, most consistent player all year for the NBA’s best team and now with the experience of two straight playoff runs, he has Golden State thinking about a possible NBA championship. How weird does that sound?
It’s also not surprising at all to see Curry get his own signature sneaker, the Curry One, which is dropping today at Champs Sports. It’s more surprising that it took this long. Outfitted in past seasons with Under Armour‘s Anatomix Spawn and ClutchFit Drive, we kept hearing from the folks at UA that they were busy working on a shoe for the All-Star, as well as a logo. Well now it’s finally here, just in time to see Curry suit up in his second-straight NBA midseason classic.
If we had to rank the players we’re most excited to see hoop on Sunday, Curry would be in the top three. It’s not just his shooting either. It’s his ball-handling, his passing, his ball fakes, just his overall skill. Asking which player is the better ball-handler between Curry and Kyrie Irving is impossible. Yet after watching these 10 GIFs, it’s impossible not to lean towards the leader of the NBA’s best team.
Don’t blink when he has the ball. Stephen Curry is So Nasty He Deserves His Own SportsCenter Show.
