Everyone knows what a hazard cone looks like. You probably see them while going to work every day. Being in New York City, I certainly do. Despite that, you wouldn’t ever expect a sneaker company to use them as an inspiration for a sneaker pack, would you? Yet here we are.
The holiday season means a lot of things, and while that’s often different for people in different parts of the country, no matter where you live or even how old you are, the holidays always mean lots and lots of food. Unless you’re trying to gain weight purposely, you better make sure you’re hitting the gym hard over the next month or two. It’s a winter essential.
That’s where Nike‘s new Hazard Pack comes in. Featuring the Nike TR 5 and the Nike Fingertrap Max, this one is packing everything you need to go hard in the gym AND look good throughout the holiday season. Seriously, it’s easy to roll out some black and orange colorways and call it a wrap. Anyone, if they really wanted to, could use a hazard sign to help inspire a new release. But Nike made this pack worthwhile by flipping the color schemes on each shoe and actually making them look dope.
While both shoes feature a tiger-skinned inner lining, the TR 5 is laced in an orange upper, complete with reflective tones and the silver Nike Swoosh branding. The Fingertrap Max flips it with the black upper and the metal-colored Nike Swoosh. The two shoes have opposing branding tags on the tongues.
