Sneaker Spotlight: PUMA’s “4th of July” Pack Is Super Fly

PUMA is really coming on strong this summer, and as part of their epic seasonal collection we’re getting dope shoes for the “4th of July” pack.

Available at Champs Sports right now are two colorways of the iconic Basket silhouette, in the traditional red and navy blue color tones. Both shoes feature unique star-embossed uppers to help you celebrate the holiday in the most stylish way possible.

While some sneakerheads will be out trying to cop the latest retro Jordans or Nike Basketball’s “4th of July” pack, some of us want something a little different. It’s getting harder and harder to consistently rock basketball shoes out on these streets. We need to switch things up, rock something with a lower cut and a more sleek and streamlined silhouette. That’s where this collection should come into play, as it combines everything you could possibly want in a summer shoe.

PUMA has a long history of setting trends in style and culture, and they first debuted the Basket shoe in 1968 as a unique warm-up shoe that signaled a new era in basketball. Nearly 50 years later and the sneaker is back as something that’s even more about the casual lifestyle. You can rock these virtually anywhere this summer, and when you think about it, it’s really amazing that the shoe has managed to stay relevant for this long.

Nowadays, PUMA is leaning on iconic names like Va$htie, Rihanna, and Usain Bolt to promote their swag. It has helped to connect them to a new generation of style aficionados. In the end, though, you can never forget about your roots.
