There are very few running or training shoes that can double as lifestyle pieces. This is a rare one.
For the athletes out there looking for a boost, the Nike Zoom Speed Trainer 3 comes equipped with innovative cushioning and traction. We’re talking a Zoom Air unit in the heel, a knit and mesh upper that also includes a Dynamic Fit system, and even all-over strategic traction used on specific points along the sole that work to give you supreme grip on just about any surface.
It’s a conglomerate of dope technical features and that’s often enough for people like us who are always on the hunt for something new and comfortable to rock at the gym. But the Nike Zoom Speed Trainer 3, which is available now at Champs Sports, takes it all one step further.
Sneakers that can work both as performance and lifestyle pieces are the goal for everyone, from the brands to the people consuming the products. Luckily, for everyone involved, this shoe pulls it off.
Maybe it’s the low profile. Pit it against joggers or even pin-rolled jeans and you’re looking at something subtle that can still speak strongly to who you are. In a way, the silhouette looks a little bit like other lifestyle shoes Nike has produced–though the Speed TR 2 was much closer in that regard. Considering some silhouettes like the Roshe Run are marketed strictly for their lifestyle appeal, I can’t fault the extra support for the TR 3.
In the end, as fantastic as this shoe performs in workouts, I can’t help but be intrigued by its potential as a streetwear piece for the aspiring IG icon.
