The majority of you are probably fans of Skylar Diggins for one of two reasons. First, you probably never heard about her until Lil Wayne professed his love on Twitter back in early 2013, calling the 5-9 Diggins his wife. And second, you obviously know she is really, really good-looking. Nothing wrong with following her for that. I can’t hate.

But don’t let that overlook her game, as she averaged 20 points per game with the WNBA’s Tulsa Shock last year. She’s also an Instagram veteran. With over 750,000 followers, it’s safe to say she’s been doing it for the ‘gram for a minute. Her sneakers play a big part in that.

An average-sized guard, Diggins is a huge fan of Kobe Bryant‘s Nikes and her IG is littered with PEs and exclusives. While other female athletes like Allyson Felix stunt in Jordans, as does Maya Moore — maybe the WNBA’s preeminent sneakerhead — Diggins kills it on the performance side. She rocks Kobes to light people up on the court, and off of it, she’s always ready for a gym session thanks to her love of the new Nike Zoom Hypercross Trainer.

The chick who’s so bold she put Drake in the ultimate friend zone during last year’s ESPY Awards, Diggins has unparalleled style among female athletes. Swagger like Sydney. Bad like Serena. Smooth like Ana. Yet I’m not sure any of them can match her sneaker game. From Nike trainers to Kobes on the court, the girl keeps it fresh. An All-Star and last year’s Most Improved Player in the WNBA, the former Notre Dame star is a handful to handle when it comes to the kick game.
