At just 18 years old, superstar and style icon Zendaya is already used to shaking up the game. Think about it. So far we’ve seen her work as a model for several different major brands, and then transition into landing a gig in Kidz Bop’s official video for their version of Katy Perry’s hit single, “Hot n Cold.” Then Zendaya got a role in the Disney Channel’s show, Shake It Up, releasing several of her hits from the show as singles. She eventually became the youngest contestant ever in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, and late last year released her self-titled debut album, complete with a certified platinum lead single. It’s safe to say the kid is doing okay for herself.
But with all of that being said, a major part of her success needs to start with her style. She has fans of all ages because she recognizes how to switch up the flow for an occasion. On the red carpet? She’s rocking some high heels and designer clothes. But off of it, in her free time? Zendaya can swag any outfit out, whether we’re talking white T-shirts and kicks or boots and jeans. That sense of confidence and style is something anyone can see.
Girls coming up in the game right now have a lot of women to look up to. There’s Rihanna. Beyonce. Va$htie. Girls aren’t copping a pair of sneakers to hold them over for a whole year. Just like the fellas, they are making waves by staying trendy and flashy. Zendaya is at the forefront of that movement. Whether you are a fan of her work or not, just know that Zendaya Is a Sneakerhead You Need to Watch Out For. See why here.
