Today marks the official global launch of Stephen Curry‘s newest signature sneaker, the Under Armour Curry Two, at Champs Sports. After the success of the initial shoe last season and with the NBA returning to action for real next week, it feels like perfect timing. We’re excited about it. Honestly, the entire sneaker community is excited for it and to quench that thirst, we recently went out to Portland to chat with the designers behind this incredible silhouette.
Building hype toward this release only made sense for us, considering Curry hit a perfect storm last year. He became the MVP. He won a title. He had the best team all year. And even his sneakers pushed UA to heights they probably didn’t think possible. After seeing their first-quarter footwear revenue jump to $161 million last year (a 41 percent increase from the prior year), UA now has plans to build a $1 billion basketball brand with Curry at the center of it. That won’t happen immediately, but the Curry Two is a good start.
Featuring a full-length Charged Cushioning midsole, as well as a SpeedForm seamless upper, this shoe will mold to your foot to offer impressive change of direction comfort and support. Add in an external heel counter and an organic herringbone traction pattern and this one is going to be both stylish and effective.
Stephen Curry’s new signature sneaker, the Under Armour Curry Two, is finally here with the launch colorway: “Iron Sharpens Iron.” We hope you’re ready.
