Nike‘s Roshe Run has proven its worth and versatility over the last few years, dropping in every conceivable colorway and design possible, hitting the market in so many different editions that it’d be basically impossible to collect them all. Available now at Champs Sports is the latest, an “Ugly Sweater” collection that hits just in time for the holidays. Sporting traditional holiday tones in a variety of classic colors, like navy, black, and red, these Roshes also feature mid-foot overlay graphics. Nike keeps it all consistent to the look and feel of a regular Roshe sneaker by using that iconic white sole unit. There will also be women’s colorways available so everyone can join in on the fun.
Since being introduced in 2012, the Roshe Run has quickly established itself as a key lifestyle sneaker, a shoe that’s had a remarkable impact on the game. You can make the argument that without the introduction of the Roshe Run, many of the game’s most popular silhouettes wouldn’t look the same. In an age where everyone is embracing the athleisure look, the Roshe’s versatility and simplistic upper make it the perfect antidote. Designed by Dylan Raasch, the shoe was two years in the making, and had to go through 16 outsole revisions and 50 changes to the upper before finally being released. It’s safe to say they got it right.
We’ve made the argument in the past that the Roshe Run is already a classic sneaker. I don’t think many of you will argue with us. And in the end, everyone loves a bad sweater. After seeing these kicks, you will too.
