In 2015, LeBron is universally admired and loved. Obviously, nothing’s ever 100 but, overall, people are ready to watch James go for yet another NBA Finals run with the Cleveland Cavaliers this year.
However, it wasn’t always that way. LeBron had to work his way up. He had to work through the haters and the doubters. He had to survive. In doing so, ‘Bron ‘Bron has a unique take on what it means to play the villain, which makes the latest Nike LeBron 13 release all the more meaningful.
Dropping today at Champs Sports is the “Horror Flick” colorway for the LeBron 13. Inspired by LeBron’s love of scary movies, the shoe sports a white-hot upper with black detailing and special “13” tags on the tongue. The best part, though, has to be the blood splatters along the sneaker’s midsole. It has just enough details to warrant the name but, luckily, not enough to go overboard. Though I know a lot of sneakerheads who generally enjoy black silhouettes over white ones, I can’t be the only one who is really feeling these.
Add in the 13’s one-of-a-kind basketball performance tech, which includes large doses of posite around the ankle and lacing area, Flywire, and the infamous Zoom Air units on the outsole, and you have a sneaker that’s toeing the line between performance and athleisure.
LeBron James has some experience playing the villain and for Friday the 13th this year, you better be coping this new themed colorway for the LeBron 13. Don’t be scared.
