Every year around this time, LeBron James gets the royal treatment from Nike with incredible All-Star Game sneaker colorways. Last year it was the gators of New Orleans that inspired the LeBron 11. Like the beasts themselves, that sneaker featured a ton of graphics that weren’t visible to the naked eye and it was only when you turned off the lights that they showed up. The year prior, he was outfitted with one of the best All-Star colorways we’ve seen in quite some time with a purple and pink pair influenced by the galaxy’s hardest substance, the black diamond.
Overall, no one ever gets harder All-Star colorways. The best player in the world deserves the hottest sneakers.
However this year, James won’t be alone. With both of their All-Star sneakers releasing today at Champs Sports, the King will be bringing along the young prince as well.
Kyrie Irving recently received his first signature sneaker from Nike, complete with graphics and technical aspects that used his Australian heritage and the country’s architecture as inspiration, and now the reigning All-Star Game MVP will be getting that sneaker laced with a new colorway. It makes sense, especially in this setting. Irving and ‘Bron are two of the game’s best players…and now teammates. With Cleveland suddenly looking dangerous again, this will be a big weekend for both players in the hopes of continuing to build the trust and chemistry needed to win a title.
However, that’s far down the road. For right now, at least, the Nike Kyrie 1 and LeBron 12 “All-Star” Colorways Are Ready to Shut It Down in New York City.
