Where art thou Kobe Bryant? Black Mamba? That’s what every Los Angeles Laker fan and player is yelling right now. With the fourth worst record in the league, the Lakers need the Mamba back in action, but after suffering a season-ending injury it will be a while until we see him in purple and gold. His game might be over until next year, but his sneaker game is on a roll and arguably at its prime.
Fresh off of the release of the Kobe X “Blackout,” the “Vino” colorway comes at a great time. This one is inspired by Kobe’s love for wine and fond memories of old teammates years back when the Lakers were a dynasty. Bryant would meet with former teammates Derek Fisher and Rick Fox over dinner and wine. This is where Kobe would learn the importance of communication, team building, and leadership.
The “Vino” colorway features a vivid mix of poison green and sequoia throughout its low-cut build, black holds down the contrastive branding, laces, and tongue. Complete with volt and red finishing off the electrifying color palette, a patterned aesthetic dresses the inside of the tongue.
Kobe might be out for the year, but his presence and impact are transferred through his shoes. The Kobe Xs are his 10th signature shoe with Nike, which is a huge milestone. Not many other ballers have accomplished that. There is more to what meets the eye with this new model, and we can’t be more excited to add these to our collection, especially now that they are finally dropping today at Champs Sports.
