Easter always brings out the best in sneaker colorways, and this year is no different. Nike‘s “Easter” collection for their biggest stars — LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryant, and Kyrie Irving — is super dope.
Mixing pastels and traditionally-flavored graphics with special holiday-themed micro camo, florals, and abstract prints for the LeBron 12, KD7, Kobe X, and Kyrie 1, this collection is available today at Champs Sports, perfect timing as we hit April and all of the snow leaves.
Out of the four, Bryant and Durant won’t be wearing their shoes for obvious reasons. (And that stinks.) Kobe has a long history of using animals as inspiration, particularly the world’s greatest predators. For this colorway, he went back to that again, albeit in a slightly different tone. Across a hot lava and artisan teal color palette, he used the shade of a robin’s egg as inspiration. Meanwhile, the KD7 is colored liquid lime, vapor green, and sunset glow, with a micro camo representing modern street art.
As for the rest of the collection, the LeBron 12 features a floral print on the pastel sunset glow-colored upper, along with black Hyperposite wings, which mimics his love of mixing prints and colors in his style. Finally, the Kyrie 1 is doused with the classic Easter purple, mixing the old school with the new.
