The Nike Air Max 2015 is finally here, just in time for the holidays. Even with all of the incredible sneaker releases — I’m talking the “Infrared” Air Jordan VI, an “Empire State” colorway of the Nike KD7, new Nike Huarache colorways, and even the “Legend Blue” Air Jordan XIs — this shoe is certainly going to be a highlight for many shoeheads.
The history of Nike Air Max dates back to 1987, when designers Mark Parker and Tinker Hatfield released the Nike Air Max 1, a white and red-based shoe that did the unthinkable: showcase the inside of the sneaker. The small air bubble on the midsole was the world’s first look into what was inside, and for many doubters and critics, they looked at it like “Who would ever wear a sneaker that’s gonna let you see what’s inside?!” Well guess what, haters? The silhouette is as popular as ever nearly 30 years later.
In the 2015 version, you can expect some of Nike‘s greatest technology, all of it combined into one shoe. There’s Dynamic Flywire along the upper, an Engineered Mesh, and even tape-seam construction. But it’s the Air Max unit that stands out above the rest. Just look at that thing. So dope.
Four colorways of the shoe — including the Black/Green/Blue, Black/Silver/White, and Black/White/Hyp Pun — are releasing now at Champs Sports and figure to be a prominent part of any teenager’s wish list. Take a closer look below and make sure to cop before it’s gone because The Nike Air Max 2015 Is Here and It’s Glorious.
