You can emulate Kevin Durant. You can work on your jumper until your arms are nearly falling off, shooting shot after shot deep into the night, running through ballhandling drills, watching scouting tapes and YouTube highlight videos. But let’s be honest: There’s only one KD. He’s just so good, so efficient, and he makes it look so easy.
With the Nike KD7 drawing rave reviews at almost every turn, with dope colorways, the return of the awesome mid-foot strap, and the continuation of Durant’s personal story, the reigning MVP’s newest signature sneaker will go down as one of the shoe high points of this year.
The latest colorway, which is dropping today at Champs Sports, is “Easy Money.” The name makes sense, doesn’t it? This is the man who has been flirting with the 50/40/90 club for a few years now — he made it in 2013 while averaging 28.1 points per game. At 6-11 — let’s call it how it is, shall we? — and with a 7-4-plus wingspan, as well as the ability to shoot from anywhere on the court, OKC’s biggest star is basically an alien with the rock.
We’ve been trying to give Durant a nickname for a long time. Durantula is whack. The Slim Reaper is nice, but Durant doesn’t approve. And The Servant is just awful. Why don’t we just call him Easy Money? It fits.
Continuing the Weatherman storyline, this colorway is an ode to Ben Franklin and his obsession with electricity, as well as his place on the $100 bill, with green hues and graphics. Get yours today.
