Chris Paul is one of the best basketball players on the planet. He’s been the unofficial point god for nearly a decade, accepting and conquering challenges from first Deron Williams then Derrick Rose and now Russell Westbrook. He’s well on his way to the Hall of Fame and has helped give the Clippers a level of credibility they’ve never had before. He also, thanks to David Stern, single-handedly turned the pendulum of power in Los Angeles by ending up with the city’s second team rather than the Lakers.
But you know what? His sneaker game is probably still underrated. His collection of unreleased Jordans and player exclusive samples is on another level, making his Instagram page one you absolutely have to follow. And then there’s his signature line with Jordan Brand, a shoe that’s always bringing with it top-notch quality and performance.
Today marks the release of the Jordan CP3.VIII at Champs Sports. Built for speed, the shoe features a unique 5/8 height, an inner sock-lining, a TPU chassis for quick cuts, protection in high contact areas, Nike Zoom units on the forefoot, and a herringbone pattern on the outsole. It doesn’t get any better than this.
“I take designing the shoe very seriously. I like the testing process, refining the details and pushing the limits on performance,” says Paul. “From the cushioning and Flight Web lockdown system to the rubberized outsole that helps me stop on a dime, I know what these shoes can do for me, and when my opponent sees them, they know too.”
The NBA’s best point guard will be wearing this sneaker all season long. Cop today.
