You probably won’t ever play like Russell Westbrook. The highlights. The dunks. The aggression. The “IDGAF” attitude. He’s a superstar in every sense of the word, and ups his game when it is needed most.
No wonder the Jordan Brand loves him.
Even if you can’t play like him, though, you can dress like him. (Sort of. You probably can’t do that, either.) This weekend at Champs Sports, the latest — and greatest — colorway of the Air Jordan XX9 is releasing. Dubbed “Riverwalk,” it’s upper is splashed with fusion pink and a tropical teal color that almost gives the shoe a vibrant purple look. So dope. Featuring the massive white Jumpman logo on the upper, as well as the 23 on the tongue, this sneaker is going to look incredible with jeans and cuffed pants.
But even if you’re still old school and love to actually ball out in actual BASKETBALL SHOES, the XX9 still offers things no other shoe can. It’s evolving Flight Plate features improvements that have everyone excited. When this tech was first introduced in the XX8, it changed the game, helping athletes to feel lighter on their feet. Now this season the inclusion of the first-ever woven upper is going to set new trends in how to merge the street with the court.
Westbrook is going to be stunting in these joints all year, and unlike years past when JB wouldn’t release the shoe until All-Star Weekend, you’re going to have it in time for your season. Everyone wins.
More breathability. More flexibility. More bounce. More color palette options. The Air Jordan XX9 is what the game’s been missing.
