The NBA just wasn’t the same without Derrick Rose. We missed his explosion, his highlights. We missed his big plays and clutch shots, and we missed how all of Chicago worshipped its favorite son. The Bulls certainly weren’t the same. But we can’t really say we missed his sneakers because, really, they never left.
Courtesy of Damian Lillard, who rocked Rose’s signature line on the court when the former MVP was sidelined by injury, the adidas Rose line has stayed in the limelight even with the player suiting up for just 49 regular season games in the last three years. Now with the NBA season set to tip off, and with Chicago looking like potential Eastern Conference favorites, the adidas D Rose 5 is here at last.
Officially called the D Rose 5 Boost, this sneaker features the popular full-length Boost cushioning technology. The shoe also sports an EVA fit-cage for support and the updated Sprintweb for breathability. Of course, it won’t be a Rose sneaker without loads of personal call-outs and details littered throughout the shoe, too.
The first all-black colorway will be one of the best kicks of October and it’s dropping today at Champs Sports. I’d advise copping–you don’t want to miss the bandwagon before it gets too crowded again.
