LeBron James has a special connection to Team USA. He helped restore the program to prominence, won two Olympic gold medals in three trips, and has to be considered one of the best American players in Olympic history. No one has changed the game so much in the past 15 years, and that goes for his sneakers, too.
During the 2012 Summer Olympics, James debuted his X with a slick USA-themed colorway, and today, we’re getting somewhat of a sequel to that. These LeBron 11 Lows are bolder than their predecessors with a university red Hyperfuse upper and obsidian accents on the laces, lining, heel counter, and midsole, and are already being called one of the best lowtop releases of the year. Every year, the folks at Nike drop amazing low versions of LeBron’s signature sneaker, and every year, we see three or four of those shoes slip under the radar only to become cult classics later on. Don’t expect that to happen with these.
