New Release: Nike KD7 “35,000 Degrees”

Imagine the world’s best scorer as a meteorologist. Weird, right? But as a child, that’s what Kevin Durant wanted to be. He didn’t want to win scoring titles or pursue NBA championships, or even have his own signature sneaker. All of that came later. He wanted to be a weatherman.

As Nike Basketball is prone to do with KD’s signature sneaker line, they’re telling a story with the lead colorway for the Nike KD7. Releasing today, the “35,000 Degrees” colorway is continuing a long line of weather-related Durant shoes. (The “Weatherman 4” is one of the most hyped sneakers of the last 15 years.) Inspired by lightning–it strikes at 35,000 degrees Fahrenheit–and Durant’s need for lightning-quick reflexes, this sneaker is brought to life with a bright mango upper, volt outsole and hits of deep grey. The sole and Swoosh also sport stratospheric graphics.

With personal details, such as the names of his mother, grandmother, father, and brother on the front strap, and a silhouette of his home state of Maryland on the outsole, this sneaker is expected to be one of the highlights of the year. Head on over to Champs Sports to grab your pair today.
