Bo Jackson was that rare athlete that transcended generations. His retro sneakers still sell even today, despite playing his last baseball game exactly 20 years ago and his last football game even longer than that. But like Penny Hardaway and Ken Griffey Jr. after him, Bo had talent, charisma, and most importantly the “cool” factor — thanks to Nike‘s “Bo Knows” campaign — that you couldn’t deny.
To help extend his sneaker line into 2014, Nike designers crafted the Air Max Bo Jax, a shoe that features a midfoot strap — always a big feature for any trainer shoe — and a massive Air Max bag on the heel, as well as the Nike branding on the tongue and Jackson’s No. 34 on the heel. The Air Trainer 1, Air Trainer 2, Trainer SC, and Trainer SC 2 hybrid also sports a translucent outsole.
The sneaker previously launched in a South Beach colorway earlier this month, but today, you can cop a White/Black/Blue edition from Champs Sports.
