Derrick Rose is back and as Chicago tries to distance themselves from the field in the East — because who really believes in Washington and Toronto? — you’ll continue to see more and more fans jump on the team’s bandwagon. It’s the same way with the sneakers too. Because of Rose’s injuries, the adidas D Rose line has flown under the radar for much of the past few years. That shouldn’t happen again, now that the All-Star is back and now that the adidas D Rose 5 Boost is here to stay.
This particular colorway, kept simple with the black and white color scheme, is by far the best one we’ve seen so far, and that’s saying something. In fact, I’d rank it up there with some of the best “Brenda” colorways we’ve ever seen.
As far as the tech, there’s an EVA fit-cage for support and the updated Sprintweb for breathability, as well as the personal details and tributes to the city of Chicago that help differentiate the Rose line from all others. But it’s the full-length Boost technology that takes this sneaker to another level. You know how visible Air in the Air Jordan III took the Jordan line to another level? That’s the type of effect this tech could have on Derrick Rose’s line.
The shoe is available at Champs Sports, perfect timing as sneakerheads gear up for the holiday season. If you plan on playing any ball this winter, there’s no way you can miss out on these joints. Too sick.
