Style Points: Marshawn Lynch Explains the Meaning of Beast Mode

  • Marshawn Lynch

If you’ve seen Marshawn Lynch play then you probably have a good idea of what “Beast Mode” means: breaking tackles and taking names. Well during an interview with former Seahawks teammate Michael Robinson, Lynch finally revealed the meaning of “Beast Mode” in the only Marshawn Lynch way possible.

  • Odell Beckham Jr.

Odell Beckham already has us convinced that he is a freak of nature after this amazing catch. Now he proves that he is not only a ball magnet on the field but an all-around amazing athlete, at literally ANY sport. Basketball, golf, baseball, soccer, and even dancing. There’s nothing this man can’t do.

    Dr. Dre

After settling a $3 million deal with Apple, it’s safe to say that Dr. Dre’s bank account is sitting pretty. Not only does he have more money than you would know what to do with, he is 2014’s highest paid musician. This dude can do no wrong and he’s so set for life that he doesn’t even need to ever release Detox. He literally has his fingers all over every single aspect of hip-hop.

  • Tyson Chandler

Tyson Chandler made the best block of the season and it wasn’t a shot. During a game against the Warriors, Marreese Speights loses a shoe, which gets tossed around the court for a few plays. When fellow teammate Stephen Curry recovers the shoe and throws it back to Speights, Chandler does what any opposing player should do: Swat the sneaker into the crowd. Get that shoe out of here!

    Rihanna

Pop superstar Rihanna is taking her talents to Puma. There were rumors months ago that speculated that she was leaving adidas for her new home, and it seems to be the rumors were true. Puma states that Rihanna “will work with Puma to design and customize classic Puma styles as well as create new styles to add to the Puma product portfolio.” She will not only work on sneakers but apparel as well. The girl is a style icon, setting trends and starting waves. We can’t wait to see what she cooks up.

Marshawn Lynch doesn’t speak much, but when he does it can be very inspirational. During a recent interview, “Beast Mode” himself gave meaning to his popular tagline. As always, his answer is classic. Meanwhile, Odell Beckham continues to wow us with his athleticism. Instead of giving us more insane touchdown catches, he takes on other sports and nails it. Basketball, soccer, baseball, you name it, he’s a pro at it. Sometimes pure athleticism is just too ridiculous to understand and if his recent antics on the field are any indication, New York’s new wide receiver is going to be a big-time player in the future.

In the NBA, the Mavs have been in the news recently for landing All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo in a trade, but it was Tyson Chandler who made the most noise with the unofficial defensive play of the week against the Warriors. As Marreese Speights tried to collet his fallen shoe, Chandler acted fast and launched it into the crowd with a huge block. If there is any way to get into your opponent’s head, throwing his Nikes is a great start.

As we’re nearing the end of the year, it’s time to take a look back. This has been a year of huge business decisions. Dr. Dre made headlines with his $3 billion deal with Apple, making him the highest paid musician of the year. Also, Rihanna left adidas to be the creative director at Puma to design a collection of sneakers and apparel.
