Nothing like a good ol’ chip riding on your shoulder. Calvin Johnson, who’s used to dominating opponents on a week-to-week basis through his NFL career–just check out the many NFL records he currently holds–wasn’t able to perform at his best last season with multiple injuries nagging him. The offseason has been shaping up pretty well for Johnson, giving him time to heal up. However, instead of waiting around and letting his football skills fade, he’s been busy getting better (a scary thought, huh?) and making others around him better. One of those guys is A.J. Green of the Cincinnati Bengals, who recently revealed to us that Johnson was a huge motivating force and presence in his own improvement process.
Of all of the great colorways with wacky names attached to the Nike CJ3 Flyweave Trainer, this one may be the most fitting one yet: a Detroit Lions team colorway of Silver and Royal Blue. By now, you should be acquainted with this sneaker’s greatness: the versatility of a low-top silhouette, the utilization of Nike’s Flyweave and Flywire technology, and the “nubby” outsole for grip and traction on a variety of surfaces. This version comes with some very special details, especially if you’re a diehard Detroit Lions fan, a huge Calvin Johnson supporter, or simply someone who enjoys an attractive sneaker offering. Johnson’s number ‘81’ is placed across the back heel as well as a Lions’ logo on the sneaker’s insole.
Be sure to reset your Fantasy Football roster with Calvin Johnson on it this NFL season; that’s only if you know what’s best for you.
