Kevin Durant is back.
You might not really be paying attention so far, considering Stephen Curry is dropping bombs on ’em at a historic rate while Andre Drummond is gobbling up so many rebounds they gotta give him his own board game, but Durant is already playing at a near MVP level. A PER over 30. Nearly 30 points per game on 52/45/90 shooting splits. Almost 2.5 stocks (blocks plus steals) and seven boards a night. Durant has quietly reasserted himself as one of the league’s three best players, and if OKC is ever going to win that championship, it’s going to come with Durant leading the way. (Perhaps this year?)
On top of that, his signature sneaker line is in its prime as well. The latest colorway available at Champs Sports is “PG County,” a sneaker that pays homage to where it all began for KD. Before he was an NBA MVP and scoring champion, before he had the entire basketball world waiting on his free agency, Durant was just a skinny kid with a ball and a dream.
The KD 8, as always, comes equipped with a Flyweave upper and an articulated full-length Zoom Air unit, the first Nike Basketball sneaker to do so. Add in some Flywire cables and this is one of the better performing on-court sneakers on the market right now. Featuring inspiration taken from the saber-tooth tiger, the KD 8 is going to be there for Durant as the former MVP pushes for his first NBA title.
The “PG Country” KD 8 is one of the best releases in all of November and the colors pay homage to Durant’s Seat Pleasant roots. Make sure you don’t miss out.
