Introducing The Nike CJ Trainer 2 “Visor”

Forget about Usain Bolt, LeBron James, or Rafa Nadal. Is there a more dominating player in sports than Calvin Johnson? Yes, it is much harder to change the outcome of a game single-handedly in football, but CJ is far and away the best player and athlete in the NFL. He’s also one of the most stylish too.

Earlier this year, Nike released the CJ Trainer 2, and the first colorway was actually inspired by Japanese food. The “Spicy Tuna” shoe was a departure from the norm for most of Nike Football’s products. It wasn’t a team color, and the concept had nothing to do with Johnson’s on-field acrobatics, his ridiculous hands, or his new penchant for blue visors. It pushed a new storytelling concept, one that should continue throughout this shoe’s future releases.

But fans did have one problem with the “Spicy Tuna” and that concerned the absence of the amazing Megatron logo. Thankfully, it’s back for this go-around. With the shoe featuring USA-themed colors, these’ll go great with your Lions jersey, or your CJ-inspired visor.

The sequel to the CJ81 is here. Head on over to Champs Sports to see for yourself.
