I remember when we got our first looks at the Jordan Future. Cats were busy asking how they were supposed to play ball in these kicks, considering the technology used in the upper? Well here’s the thing: You’re not really supposed to play in them. Jordan Brand has other plans for these shoes.
Bringing what the Nike Roshe Run and adidas Flux have incorporated into the culture to a new audience, the Jordan Future is one of the best new shoes of the last several years, mixing the outsole and midsole of the classic Air Jordan XI with a new all-woven upper. (The idea of a performance-woven upper was eventually used for the first time on this year’s Air Jordan XX9.) It’s a hybrid sneaker that never tried to portray itself as something it isn’t and instead has indeed found its intended lane. Add in the basic upper, which offers all sorts of effective color combinations, and you can see why people love it.
Today, another colorway has dropped at Champs Sports just in time for the holidays. Featuring a navy white upper with a white midsole, these joints are about as clean as they come and will look incredible with different colored jeans and cuff pants. Jordan is taking over the holidays in a big way this year and while I’m sure many of the classic silhouettes are calling your name, you’d be foolish to look over this pair. Need some guidance or a little nudge in the right direction? Don’t worry. I got you. The shoe looks great on-foot and perhaps even better on camera. Just check this out. These are Instagram’s Hottest Pictures of the Jordan Future.
