Icon: Meek Mill Is Taking Over

If you’ve been following our Icon series you’re probably wondering why Meek Mill hasn’t been featured yet. Maybe it’s because he hadn’t put out any new music until recently? Or possibly he just wasn’t stuntin’ hard enough on the ‘gram? Regardless, I’m sure now that he’s had a few months back in Philly you’re questioning why I even asked those questions because his presence as an Icon is long overdue.

I’m sure you’ve heard one of his latest tracks — the “Ice Cream Freestyle.” In the words of hnhh, Meek raps about everything from police injustice, giving advice to the Shmurda gang, and Nicki rumors. Pretty crazy track with the classic never-slowing flow that Meek Mill always delivers, flawlessly addressing everything at once.

Then, a few days later, we were blessed with another track titled “Monster,” which again is just amazing, classic, Meek Mill. You should listen for yourself, but if these two tracks are any indication of what his upcoming album (Dreams Worth More Than Money) is going to sound like…well, we have a lot to look forward to.

Lastly, he just dropped a fire track titled “B Boy,” featuring Big Sean and ASAP Ferg, with an even better music video. If you really want to see Meek’s style at its peak, watch the video.

If you follow Meek on Instagram you’ve probably noticed there are tons of shots of people holding limited edition Pumas. Thus it’s not a far stretch to say that Meek loves his Puma shoes, one of the few consistencies in his look. Another consistency is his Dream Chasers chain, which you can count on with just about every outfit he puts together these days. Take a look at this picture below of Meek on a dirt bike. The motocross bike isn’t the only thing looking great in this photo. Meek is rocking a multi-zipper leather jacket and, of course, his Dream Chasers chain, all with some ripped denim jeans. To top off the outfit, the artist is shifting the gears of his bike with some classic Timbs. Going forward, be on the lookout for Meek Mill to continue to step up his game.
