Icon: If You Aren’t Studying Action Bronson’s Style, You’re Missing Out

The Icon this week has roots in a far away country known as Albania, however, Action Bronson was born in a hip-hop breeding ground: Flushing, Queens, home to the likes of NaS, Run DMC, LL Cool J, and 50 Cent. You could say the successful career he’s built for himself was only in his destiny, and trust me when I say this, he’s still only getting started.

This year is going to be crazy for Action Bronson. His next album, Mr. Wonderful, is set to drop March 24 and I will take full responsibility for this statement: It’s going to be incredible on every level. You can look forward to features from Chance the Rapper, Meyhem Lauren, Big Body Bes, Party Supplies, and Chauncey Sherod, with production by Mark Ronson, Noah “40” Shebib, and the Alchemist among others. Action Bronson just dropped his latest single from the album titled “Actin Crazy” with production by 40. What you’ll hear is the voice and lyrics of a man who has really been acting crazy. Check this out from his show in Santa Ana, California, in early December. With his beard and it being so close to Christmas I guess it wasn’t too out of character to play Santa Claus post-show and throw TVs and XBOXs into the crowd.

If you’ve followed Bronsolino for any time at all, you’d probably classify his post-show extravaganza as nothing out of the ordinary. I mean, just look at the guy. The first thing that stands out about his style is his beard. Wow. Not much I can say about it except that it seems like both one of the dirtiest and the cleanest things about the man. Once you get past the beard you can expect a plethora of style choices from Action Bronson. Tees, sweatshirts, heavy jackets…it just depends on what he’s feeling.

You can usually count on sweatpants or loose jeans/cargos. Or maybe even some shorts to show off those calf tattoos. On his feet you’ll usually see some retro New Balance or Asics. However, regardless of what Action Bronson is wearing, he will look good and sound even better when he picks up the mic. Lastly I’ll repeat this again: Be sure to be on the lookout for that album in March. It’s going to be killer.
