Get with the bandwagon before it’s too late. With a new colorway of his first signature sneaker, it feels like Stephen Curry is about to take this game over. Hit up just about any Champs Sports store in the mall–as you should be now that these are about to drop–and you’re going to see the same thing taking place: Curry’s first sig shoe with Under Armour flying off the shelves. And now that we are finally getting the awesome “Father to Son” makeup, the shoe is going to be even more widespread than before.
Curry basically had a perfect season this year. Golden State ran away with the best record in the NBA, winning 67 games while hardly ever feeling a bump in the road. Curry won the game’s greatest individual honor and even led the league in All-Star Game votes. He was a SportsCenter dynamo all season, whether he was cutting cats up in isolation or allowing his daughter to takeover his postgame press conferences. But a big part of that which can’t be forgotten is his first-ever sig shoe.
Under Armour had built up to this moment for years, and I don’t think they even realized what they had in the 6-3 skinny kid from Davidson. But now, they are delivering on all fronts right now. Tomorrow, they deliver this new colorway, one to celebrate an iconic relationship between Steph and father Dell Curry through a regional color scheme. Stephen’s NBA father spent years in the NBA with the Charlotte Hornets.
Jump on them quick.
