Everyone loves a good baseball movie. Angels in the Outfield was one of my first sports movies. Moneyball and 42 inspired all of us. And, of course, everyone has seen The Sandlot. They all had interesting and unique characters, too, even if some of them were completely unrealistic. A 12-year-old bow with a Randy Johnson-esque arm? Yeah, that’s not happening in real life. But on the big screen, who really cares? It was fun to watch.

With recent movies like the aforementioned Moneyball and 42 showing baseball in the cinema still has worth, let’s highlight a few of our favorite baseball movies characters. No, this isn’t a list of the best-by-fake-ability players, or the biggest names from the most famous movies. This is our list, our choices. Our favorites.
