Thought it’ll be lifestyle silhouettes that make headlines in 2016, brands like Nike are still making moves and working to create increasingly sophisticated performance shoes.
Take the latest from the Swoosh, for example. The Nike Free RN Distance is doing something no shoe has ever done before: It’s bringing together Nike‘s iconic Lunarlon cushioning with natural motion. As a sneaker designed specifically for long runs, this shoe should do wonders for your workouts over the course of this year. Featuring that natural-motion outsole on a lightweight model, these shoes allow your feet the chance to move as they’re designed to. Flywire also makes an appearance here, wrapping around your foot to offer more support over the course of your next workout.
Available now at Champs Sports are the two colorways shown here–Black/Blue Lagoon/Volt/White for the fellas and Black/Green Glow/Persian Violet/White for the ladies–as well as an Orange/Green edition, Black/White/Grey, Crimson/Black, and a Black/Orange/Blue Lagoon/White version. All six colorways will help you stand out from the crowd at the gym with white sole units and colorful, single-layer knit uppers. If we’re being honest, though, if we had to pick right now it’d probably be the women’s colorway that has us most excited. The Green Glow and Persian Violet that are utilized throughout the upper give the sneaker some personality and hint at the model’s shelf life outside of the gym.
Combining some sneaker technology in a way that’s never been done before, the brand new Nike Free RN Distance is going to make moves in 2016. For all the shoeheads out there, consider this a PSA.
