I’ve seen some amazing Air Jordan VII colorways–there’s the Olympic edition, the Bordeaux (first worn in a commercial with Bugs Bunny), and there’s even the “Hares,” inspired by a pair for Bugs himself–but I’m not sure I can remember ever seeing one based off of a single shirt that Michael Jordan wore.
However, this weekend at Champs Sports we’ll get one of the weirdest/unique releases of the Jordan VII yet. The “Nothing But Net” edition (now officially called “Bright Concord”) is a colorway that’s new to 2015, and it takes inspiration from the iconic McDonald’s commercial with MJ and Larry Bird that aired nearly 25 years ago. In that set, Jordan wore a black T-shirt and shorts that sported weird, 1990s graphics in Bright Concord and University Red. This new Jordan VII colorway took those graphics and freaked a white-based VII silhouette. The resulting sneaker is probably one of the better original Jordan releases of the past few years.
Of course, as you all should know by now, style doesn’t stop with the kicks. You need a fit that makes sense from head to toe, and that’s definitely true during the colder months. It’s layer SZN right now. Step your game up.
From Jordan T-shirts to Nike Fleece joggers to everything in-between, we’re giving you a blueprint today so that once the kicks drop on Saturday, you’ll have something to rock with them. Make sure to Rock These Clothing Fits With the “Nothing But Net” Air Jordan 7. Any style, any size, there’s something here for everyone.
