Over the past 17 years, the Air Jordan XIII has been released in a lot of crazy colors. Whereas many of its predecessors kept it simple with traditional Chicago colorways and then maybe, maybe, tried something different like a “Military” blue or a Bugs Bunny-inspired makeup, the XIII came in low-top versions, fitted with chutney tan and navy blue, and then later dropped in altitude green and Syracuse-styled colors. No one ever complained, mostly because whether the shoe hit the public in the original cut or the low top, it was always dope.
You could throw this bad boy together with any colors and it would still come out looking fresh. That’s just the way it is. But when it sticks to the script and goes with the Bulls’ black and red? Oh man, there’s hardly anything that can top it.
This colorway is actually one of the first times this signature shoe has released in a “bred” colorway. The original “Playoff” XIII was almost entirely black, but with the white pods and a lack of red, it was never considered a “bred.” Michael Jordan wore a “bred” XIII at times during the 1998 Playoffs and the second coming today, 16 years later, is just as dope.
Released today at Champs Sports, the new Air Jordan XIII features old school colors with a new school design based on an original sample, and this bred colorway is sure to be a hit this holiday season. Don’t miss out. Cop today or get it on your wish list – just know that if you put it down for Santa, he better get the reindeer moving fast. These’ll be gone in a hurry. That’s because The Air Jordan 13 Is Taking Over the Holiday Season.
