Stephen Curry just turned in the perfect season. A historic regular season where he earned the most All-Star votes and won the Most Valuable Player award easily. A romp through the Western Conference Playoffs despite the conference being, arguably, better than ever. And then a fantastic fourth quarter showing during a six-game series win in the NBA Finals over Cleveland. Honestly, the only thing he didn’t do was win Finals MVP, losing out to a miraculous and out-of-nowhere performance by former sixth man, Andre Iguodala. Add in the launch of his first signature sneaker with Under Armour and we’re talking about a transcendent year from the former mid-major star.
Get hooked to the bandwagon and get ready for summer with a couple of new low-top colorways of his Under Armour signature sneaker, the Curry One. Releasing this Friday at Champs Sports are two editions billed as the “Home” and the “Pacific White.”
The “Home” sneaker features a team-orientated color scheme with varying shades of blue (royal and navy) on the upper, midsole, and inner lining, with gold on the outsole and branding. The second colorway, like the “Father to Son” edition, plays off Curry’s ties to the Charlotte area, sporting a colorway that is very similar to the NFL’s Panthers with Carolina blue, black branding, and flashes of white.
Because of his past ankle issues, Curry may never be into wearing the low-tops during game situations. But we all still can, considering the dope technology that’s been involved in many of UA’s best basketball kicks.
