Part of what made the adidas ZX Flux one of 2014’s best and most popular sneakers was its tame upper, that sense that you could make it your own. To their credit, adidas did that, releasing the shoe in countless designs and colorways, appeasing the masses in the process. This week, even with the glamor of NBA All-Star Weekend over, focus is still probably on the big basketball performance releases this month. Before February is over, we’ll have new colorways for the Nike Kyrie 1 (“Flytrap”) and the LeBron 12 (“Double Helix”), as well as finally getting the return of the “Oreo” Air Jordan IV this coming Saturday. But there is one lifestyle design dropping that sneakerheads need to watch out for and that’s the “Neutron” pack from adidas.
Releasing at Champs Sports, this collection includes new colorways of the adidas ZX Flux that feature uppers dosed in neutron-like designs. Available in white, black, and royal blue, these are perfect sneakers for those who want to stand out. We all know about the ZX Flux, a shoe that is a direct descendant of iconic ZX family and the pioneering ZX8000 of 25 years ago. But it’s the details that make it special as another shoe that’s been stripped down to the essentials in a minimalistic design. The Flux features a one-piece mesh upper, supported with welded TPU 3-Stripes, as well as a TPU heel counter that echoes the original ZX thousands series.
Just like last year, the lifestyle shoe is on the come-up and this week, You Can’t Miss the “Neutron” Colorways for the adidas ZX Flux.
