For those of you ready to hits the streets and malls on Black Friday, I am praying for you. That takes gumption. After an entire day of eating everything possible in my household, I find it’s pretty easy to call a spade a spade and simply sleep off half the day.
But for those who are gearing up for one of the most important days of the year for any sneakerhead, make sure you have a plan beforehand. Do your research. Know when to go and what you need. Last year, it was the “Infrared” Air Jordan VI that had shoe collectors in hysteria. In the years before that, it was sneakers like the “Flu Game” Air Jordan XII in 2009 and the quickstrike Air Jordan XX3s in 2008. Outside of the major releases, though, Black Friday really shines through in what you can get on the low-low. Let everyone else deal with the crazy lines and sleep on the deals while you stock up for the entire year. And while that mentality does include sneakers, it also extends to the rest of the fit.
This year, secure a new look for yourself by incorporating more athleisure into your rotation. Streetwear is leading us further away from what was traditionally acceptable in the past.
From knit hats to fleece joggers to hoodies, this Black Friday is going to be important for any streetwear enthusiast. Make sure you’re prepared beforehand with the The Only Black Friday Shopping Guide You Need: 10 Outerwear Pieces to Complete Your Fit.
