Andre Johnson’s Top 10 Catches

  • 10. Houston Texans vs. Washington Redskins

How’s this for clutch? Two minutes left in the game, on the road in D.C. with the crowd against you. Your quarterback nearly gets sacked and heaves a 34-yard bomb to you in the end zone and you come down with it, of course, because you’re Andre Johnson.

Bombs over Broncos and Andre Johnson was the recipient of a great pass from Matt Schaub. I can’t for the life of me figure out why the Broncos didn’t have double-coverage on one of the best WRs in the game.

I’ve been watching Andre Johnson highlights all day long and this guy is always making big catches when they count. This dope tip-toe catch in the back of the end zone at the end of the game is par for the course.

    September 20, 2009

I imagine people will call me an idiot for this catch only being No. 7, but just bear with me. Either way, it’s a great one-handed grab by one of the top 10 WRs of all time.

  • 6. Seattle Seahawks vs. Houston Texans

    December 13, 2009

Who other than Andre Johnson goes 64 yards for a touchdown on the very first play of the game? The Seahawks didn’t stand a chance.

  • 5. Houston Texans vs. Miami Dolphins

    October 12, 2008

The only non-touchdown catch to make the list. Johnson makes beasting this Dolphins defensive back look so easy. And of course, this play happened at a crucial time in the game.

  • 4. High School Highlights

    1995 – 1998

He was a top prospect coming out of Miami Senior High and was named a Parade All-American. So it’s only right that an entire highlight package from Johnson’s high school days make the list.

  • 3. College Highlights

    1999 – 2002

The U was back in the early 2000s and Andre Johnson was a big part of that. He brought home the MVP award in the 2002 National Championship Game that put the Hurricanes back on top of the college football world.

  • 2. Houston Texans vs. Arizona Cardinals

    November 10, 2013

Patrick Peterson is draped all over Johnson on this play. Case Keenum doesn’t make the best pass ever. The sideline is not Johnson’s friend. Somehow, someway he figures out a way to come down with the ball at the end of the game, of course.

This is easily the best catch of Johnson’s career. Typical of him, too. He catches a bullet in traffic and totals everyone in his way to the end zone.

Diva. Loud. Brash. Cocky. Those are the adjectives normally used to describe a wide receiver, but Andre Johnson isn’t your typical wideout. He’s quiet, consistent, and a likely first ballot Hall of Famer. Today is Johnson’s birthday and what better way to big him up than to highlight his best catches. Happy birthday, Andre.
