The Air Jordan Retro 9 and 5 Other All-Black Sneakers You Need to Stunt This Fall

This all-black thing isn’t new. It didn’t start with A$AP Rocky or LeBron or Usher. It didn’t start with N.W.A. either, even though they get some credit for taking the concept, freaking it, and bringing it to the mainstream. All-black everything has been trending for a long, long time, in part because you don’t need to style it. You don’t need to worry about stains or spills. And for sneakerheads, it can help bring attention to the kicks.

When you’re rocking all-black with something fresh on your feet, it just looks dope. There’s no other way to put it. Brands notice it too. Some of the greatest Air Jordans of all time released in all black and the results were incredible. The “Black Cat” Air Jordan IV probably gets more run than anything else in my rotation, especially during the colder months.

However, the new Anthracite version of the Air Jordan IX, a colorway that began as an Oregon exclusive that’s now releasing today for the first time at Champs Sports, might top the Air Jordan IV. Shoot, it might top everything that came before it, at least concerning the underrated Air Jordan IX.

This fall, more brands are releasing black silhouettes than ever before. On one of the most recent episodes of The Drop, we showcased the Raiders colorway for the Under Armour Curry One, a sneaker that made waves this year for UA and turned Stephen Curry into a legitimate sneaker tastemaker.

However, even if you aren’t a fan of UA, there are more than enough options right now both on and off the court.

From the best-looking version of the Air Jordan IX that you’ll ever see to that Curry One, all-black sneakers are always trending during the autumn. Make sure you’re ahead of the game. Here is the Air Jordan Retro 9 and 5 Other All-Black Sneakers You Need to Stunt This Fall.
