We can always expect the Jordan Brand to drop some goodies for the holiday season, especially the Air Jordan XI. Last year sneakerheads were ecstatic over the holiday release of the popular Air Jordan XI “Bred” colorway, and exactly a year before that with the Air Jordan XI “Gamma” drop. This year, we’ve been spoiled plenty with the rollout of the Air Jordan “Infrared” VI, but the release of the Air Jordan XI “Legend Blue” takes the cake.
The sneaker is a visual spectacle featuring a predominately all-white upper with the sneaker’s signature patent leather, giving off a pleasant ice-like gloss. It blends seamlessly with black finishes, the classic icy-blue outsole, and the signature North Carolina blue “Jumpman” logo on the back. It’s one of the best colorways we’ve ever seen on the Air Jordan XI, and makes camping out in the ice cold December weather worthwhile.
The Air Jordan “Legend Blue” was originally named “Columbia,” and made its first on-court appearance at the 1996 NBA All-Star Game, worn by none other than Michael Jordan himself. The sneaker was retroed way back in 2001 and has been stashed away in the Jordan vault since. This year will be the sneaker’s first appearance in over a decade, making it one of the most anticipated Air Jordan releases in recent history and the perfect Christmas gift to have under the tree this year. You can get your hands on the Air Jordan XI “Legend Blue” when they drop today at Champs Sports.
